Sherry Wilson, Treasurer

Sherry Wilson is a native of Eastern, OH and Western, PA. She was raised in a single-family household by a very strong mother who always put family first.  In 2006, Wilson made a life-challenging decision and stepped out on faith by letting go of her business career of 21 years as a K-12 Librarian Technician at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, to become a full-time wife and mother.  After moving to Dallas in 2006, Wilson immediately got involved in her children’s education through volunteering. Through serving in their local school system, a door opened for her to utilize her love for children, especially “Special Needs” children, by becoming a teacher’s assistant in the H.E.B. I.S.D. She has continued to serve in this capacity for over 8 years. Alongside her husband, Wilson serves as the Co-Executive Director for JTC X-Change. Helping to keep this vision alive she created a teen program for young girls, ages 12-16 entitled “Girls on Fire”.  This has become an annual summer program that allows young girls to connect with mentors and women entrepreneurs. In her down time, Wilson enjoys being her children’s number one fan and loudest cheerleader in the stands at their sporting events and she serves as a mentor in a local high school. Her life’s goal is to help create and restore hope into  individuals through purposeful conversation.
